Stephanie ten Brinck
Stephanie first joined the Theo Chem group at the VU in 2013 for a bachelor project and then later in 2014 joined again for a master project during her master degree (HRSMC excellence programme). She then proceeded to do a PhD under the supervision of Dr. Ivan Infante and Prof. Dr. Lucas Visscher, where she studied perovskite nanocrystal models using Density Functional Theory (DFT). Currently, Stephanie is working with Prof. Dr. Célia Fonseca Guerra to understand charge transfer that can occur between polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and their embedding matrix using Time-Dependent DFT.
Outside of work hours, you can often find Stephanie at home crocheting, doing HIIT workouts, gaming or spending time with her bunnies.
