Rens Ham

MSc Student

Rens grew up in a village near Eindhoven and moved to Amsterdam where he obtained his B.Sc degree in Chemistry (joint degree) cum laude at the University of Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit. Currently, he is pursuing his M.Sc degree in chemistry with the HRSMC excellence programme at the same universities. He is performing his literature study on “Pauli reduced catalysis” for the activation of electrophiles using Lewis-acids in the Hamlin Group. His research interests are diverse and contain catalysis, synthesis, and theoretical chemistry. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, (board) games, and travelling.
